Dolly Parton shared a special thank you to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their donation to her Imagination Library.
In a new video shared on social media, Parton said, “I was just told you two are making a donation of $2 million to my Imagination Library. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude.”
She continued, “Now, it’s evident that you two have made giving back a key part of your lives, so hey, when you have your first born, can I have it? Because that is going to be one special baby!”
Parton went on to explain the purpose of her Imagination Library, which mails free books to children from birth to age five no matter the family income, saying, “You know, the mission of the Dollywood Foundation is to dream more, care more, learn more, and be more.”
“And thank you again for your very generous gift, and we’ll continue that mission in even bigger ways now with your money.”
Parton concluded the video with another thank you and singing the words “I will always love you” before blowing a kiss to the camera.
Swift and Kelce made $26 million in donations to over 20 charities this week, apparently as part of their wedding celebrations (though their statement doesn’t specifically mention the upcoming nuptials.)
Other charities include nine food banks, seven educational programs, three children’s hospitals, and the ASPCA.
The individual amounts to each organization were not specified, but like Parton, others have come forward thanking the couple for donations, like Feeding America, which received $2 million.
