HEAVY SECURITY OPERATION FOR SRI LANKA’S PAKISTAN TOUR

More than 1,500 additional police personnel, 50 snipers, Elite Force teams and Special Protection Unit personnel have been deployed in Rawalpindi as Pakistan prepares for the Sri Lanka T20I series and upcoming Tri-Nation ODI series.
🔐 Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host seven matches between October 4 and November 13, with authorities putting extensive security measures in place.
The arrangements include:
▪️ 1,500+ additional security personnel
▪️ 50 snipers deployed
▪️ 200 additional CCTV cameras
▪️ Walk-through security gates and NADRA verification
▪️ Bomb Disposal Squad on standby
▪️ Dedicated control room
▪️ 200 walkie-talkie sets and 20 police vehicles
▪️ 30-bed emergency field hospital
▪️ Ambulance and fire brigade on standby
▪️ Shuttle services from designated parking areas
▪️ Roads around the stadium closed or diverted
▪️ Food Street on Double Road closed as a security measure
Authorities say the measures are designed to ensure the safety of players, officials and spectators while providing the visiting teams with a peaceful environment.
