Cricket Beyond the Field: Batting & Bowling Parkinson’s Away!

Our Founder and Chairman, Roshan Mahanama, together with two members of Sri Lanka’s World Cup-winning team, Chaminda Vaas and Romesh Kaluwitharana, was honoured to participate in the special charity cricket match, “Bat & Bowl Parkinson’s Away,” held under the patronage of Mr Abdulrahman Bukhatir at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium.
Organised by King’s Dubai Parkinson’s Centre of Excellence (King’s College Hospital London – Dubai), this remarkable event brought together global cricket legends and communities to raise awareness, inspire hope, and support those living with Parkinson’s disease.
At the Roshan Mahanama Trust, we strongly believe in the power of sport to drive meaningful social change and uplift lives.
As the event’s inspiring motto reminds us: “It’s not a disability, it’s a different ability.”
