Quentin Tarantino has done something pretty unique with Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. Not only has he returned to deliver a completely bonkers 291-minute single-volume version of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, but in doing so he has made a perfect movie from the sum of two lesser-rated parts. With the movie now playing in cinemas, both critics and audiences have given the film the rarest of scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kill Bill Vol.1 was originally released in 2003, with Vol. 2 arriving the following year to complete the story. Vol. 1 scored 85% and 81% from critics and audiences, respectively, while Vol. 2 landed 84% and 89%. Having now put together both movies in the way he originally intended, and adding in an additional anime sequence, Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is one of the few truly perfect movies on Rotten Tomatoes, scoring 100% on the Tomatometer and Popcornmeter.
