There are three ATP and WTA tournaments taking place this week—and all of them are streaming on the Tennis Channel app.
Here’s five things you need to know about Wednesday’s tennis, and where you can watch each event.
Top seed Emma Navarro will kick off her campaign at the WTA 500 event in Monterrey.
After a strong showing at Wimbledon, reaching the fourth round—and taking out former champions Petra Kvitova and Barbora Krejcikova along the way—it’s been a tough summer for Navarro, as she’s lost three of her last four matches since the tour switched back to hard courts. But she’s played well in Mexico this year, winning another WTA 500 event in Merida in March, and she’ll look to keep that momentum going today as she kicks off her Monterrey campaign against fellow American Alycia Parks.
Two more Top 20 players—and four former Top 20 players—are also in action as all eight round-of-16 matches take place in Monterrey today.
Joining the No. 11-ranked Navarro on the schedule today will be Ekaterina Alexandrova, who just hit a new career-high ranking of No. 14 this week, and Beatriz Haddad Maia, who’s ranked No. 20 this week. A number of other former Top 20 players—Donna Vekic, Leylah Fernandez, Diana Shnaider and Elise Mertens—are also in action on a packed day of play.
