A pair of Oklahoma men’s golfers earned All-SEC recognition, as announced by the Southeastern Conference on Friday following a vote by the league’s 16 head coaches.
Junior Jase Summy was named First Team All-SEC, while senior Drew Goodman earned second-team honors and a spot on the SEC Community Service Team. Oklahoma was one of six programs in the league to have multiple student-athletes named to the All-SEC teams.
Summy, a native of Keller, Texas, collects his second career All-Conference honor after earning All-Big 12 as a freshman. The junior was recently named to the 2025 U.S.A. Palmer Cup Team and the Fred Haskins Award postseason watch list. His season scoring average vs. par (-0.92) ranks as the fourth-best in program history. Summy has posted seven top-20 finishes, six top 10s, four top-fives and one victory in 2025, and enters the postseason ranked No. 11 nationally after climbing as high as No. 5 earlier this year.
Goodman, who graduates this weekend from the University of Oklahoma, earns his second career All-Conference honor in 2025 after being named All-Big 12 in 2023. The two-time All-American was selected to the All-SEC Second Team following a standout senior season in which he posted a 69.3 adjusted scoring average and recorded six top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the SEC Championship. Across 11 events, he compiled 633 wins and holds a season record of 633-196-30. Additionally, the Norman product was named to the SEC Community Service team, which highlights student-athletes who make impacts beyond the field of play.
Their honors bring head coach Ryan Hybl’s total number of All-Conference selections to 22 while at Oklahoma (2009-present), with 13 coming since 2021.
SEC men’s golf awards include eight first-team and eight second-team honorees, as voted on by the conference’s coaches. Auburn’s Jackson Koivun, who edged Goodman by one shot at the SEC Championship, was named SEC Player of the Year. Texas’ Daniel Bennett earned Freshman of the Year, Algot Kleen was named Newcomer of the Year and Auburn’s Nick Clinard received SEC Coach of the Year honors.
Summy and Goodman now lead the seventh-ranked Sooners into their 14th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance. Oklahoma is the No. 2 seed at the Amherst Regional, hosted at Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Va., May 12–14. It marks the seventh straight season the Sooners have earned a top-three regional seed — the longest streak in program history. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team will qualify for the NCAA Championships, held May 23–28 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
