SS Rajamouli’s SSMB29 to replace Prithviraj Sukumaran with a Bollywood actor? Reports

SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, has been creating a lot of excitement among fans. In a recent update, reports suggest that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who was initially set for a key role in the film, has now been replaced by another Bollywood actor.

As per News24 reports, the collaboration with Prithviraj Sukumaran fell through due to unforeseen circumstances. Consequently, the filmmakers have now reached out to John Abraham to join Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the film.

The report further reveals that some of John Abraham’s scenes will be filmed in Hyderabad.

Director SS Rajamouli recently sparked excitement and speculation about his upcoming film with a cryptic post on social media. On Instagram, he shared a video of himself holding his passport, with a lion appearing behind bars, accompanied by the caption “Captured.”

Mahesh Babu and Priyanka quickly took to the comment section with their witty reactions. Mahesh wrote, “Okkasaari commit ayithe naa maata nene vinanu…. (Once I make a commitment then I don’t even listen to myself)”.

While the Citadel actress wrote, “Finally” along with laughing emojis.

According to Pinkvilla, the lead actors recently reunited to kick off preparations for the film. A source close to the project revealed that they participated in a workshop in Hyderabad, which included script-reading sessions and a look test.

The filmmakers are taking stringent steps to protect the film’s details from being leaked. As per a recent Times Now report, SS Rajamouli has instructed his team to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to ensure that no information about the project is revealed. The NDA stipulates heavy financial penalties for anyone who breaches the agreement. This tough stance comes in response to the rising concerns over movie content being leaked on social media, something the filmmakers are keen to prevent.

The film, set to be released in two parts, has generated significant excitement, especially as it marks Priyanka Chopra’s return to Indian cinema after her last film in 2019.
