France and Wales open the tournament with the pair colliding at the iconic Stade de France just outside of Paris on Friday evening.
The action moves to Murrayfield on Saturday when Gregor Townsend’s Scotland team will start their tournament against a confident Italy team aiming to claim back-to-back victories over the hosts.
Round one concludes on Sunday as current Six Nations holders Ireland host an under-pressure England team void of their usual head coach Andy Farrell with Simon Easterby taking charge of the side.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Easterby commented on new England captain Maro Itoje, who is set to lead out Steve Borthwick’s charges for the first time and expects a tough challenge at the Aviva Stadium.
“Maro has led from the front for a number of years, along with a number of England players,” he said.
“When England play well, he’s usually at the forefront of it. He leads by example, is a talisman for the team, and is an obvious choice for Steve to name as captain.
“He’s a challenging prospect for us.”
