Shah Rukh Khan led the celebrations for his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut at the Next On Netflix event in Mumbai. He requested fans to support his son and also his daughter Suhana Khan in their film journeys. Aryan’s series, The BA**DS of Bollywood, mixes humour and drama. SRK acknowledged his limited role as producer, calling himself ‘just a bloody star’.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan got into super dad mode on Monday as he lead the cheer brigade for his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut.

Dressed to impress, the Khan family turned up in full force (sans AbRam) with Gauri, Suhana, Aryan and SRK attending the Next On Netflix event in Mumbai. The superstar even took to the big stage during the event and not only unveiled a teaser of his son’s new series, but also made a heartfelt appeal to his fans, requesting them to extend their love and support to his children as they embark on their journeys in the film industry.

Aryan is set to make his directorial debut with The BA**DS of Bollywood. Addressing the audience, SRK expressed his gratitude for the huge turnout for the event and shared his hope for his children that they too, like him, would be blessed with love and affection.

“It is my prayer that even if they get 50 per cent of the love that I have received, it will mean a lot for them,” he said.

Bringing his signature wit to the stage, Shah Rukh joked about passing on his sense of humour to Aryan, adding, “Mere jokes pe log bura maan jaate hain, takleef ho jaati hai. Maine jokes karna chhod diya. Maine ye virasat apne beta ko de diya. Maine kaha jaa beta, baap ka naam roshan kar.” (People often take offence to my jokes, so I have stopped joking. I have passed on this legacy to my son Aryan and told him, ‘Go make your father proud.’)

SRK also acknowledged the hard work of the team behind the series, downplaying his role as a producer with a cheeky comment saying, “Main toh aise hi naam ka producer hoon. Mera kya. Ye sab producer, director, writer, production ka kaam hai. I am just a bloody star.”

The BA**DS of Bollywood follows an ambitious outsider and his friends navigating the unpredictable world of Bollywood, blending self-aware humour with high-stakes drama. The series promises an adventurous take on the industry, complete with blockbuster thrills and unforgettable cameos.

Meanwhile, Suhana, who made her debut in the film ‘The Archies’, is set to star opposite SRK in his next film ‘King’.
