Shadab Khan is not part of Pakistan’s Champions Trophy squad but he is leading Pakistan Shaheens in the warm-up fixtures ahead of the event and his team has started off with a bang. The home team came up with a dominating 144-run win over Afghanistan and it was courtesy a complete performance where both batters and bowlers delivered.
The captain Shadab Khan led from the front with the ball, bagging three wickets for just 29 runs and helping Afghanistan bowled out for just 170 in their run-chase of 315. The performance showed that Shadab Khan is getting back to his groove and is proving himself ahead of Champions Trophy and pushing for a place in the side if someone gets injured.
