Salman Khan reveals using Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic dialogues from ‘Deewaar’ in ‘Sikandar’; Father Salim Khan says, ‘best’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is getting ready for the release of his much-awaited film, ‘Sikandar.’ Recently, he shared a video where he is seen having a friendly chat with director AR Murugadoss and actor Aamir Khan. His father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, also joins the conversation.

Iconic ‘Deewaar’ dialogues in ‘Sikandar’

During this interaction, Salman revealed that he has included two famous dialogues from the 1975 classic film ‘Deewaar’ in his upcoming movie. These legendary lines were originally written by his father and have been slightly modified to fit ‘Sikandar’s’ storyline.

In the video, Salman tells his father, “Abhi ‘Sikandar’ mein, aapke do dialogues daale hain maine. Ek toh ye ‘Deewaar’ ka—’Koi Amitabh Bachchan nahi hai jo phenke hue paise nahi uthaata.’ Wo daala hai.” He then adds, “Aur phir ek aur daala hai ki—’Aap humein baahar dhund rahe ho, hum aapke ghar mein aapka intezaar kar rahe hain.’ Dono ‘Deewaar’ ke hi hain. Thoda sa twist dekar use kiya hai.”

These dialogues, originally spoken by Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Deewaar,’ are some of the most memorable lines in Indian cinema. Adding these famous lines to ‘Sikandar’ is sure to bring a sense of nostalgia for fans. It also serves as a tribute to Salim-Javed, who created some of Bollywood’s most powerful dialogues.

Salim Khan’s take on ‘Sikandar’

During the same conversation, Aamir Khan asked Salim Khan to share his advice ahead of the film’s release. Salim Khan replied, “Dekhe, koi bhi kaam kare aap, koi bhi ek nervousness shuru shuru mein hoti hai. Usmein yeh nai hai ki sirf mujhe hi ho rahe hai. It’s a human tendency. Vo toh hai, aur agar yeh soch ke chaloge ki sab ko hoti hai, hume bhi ho raha hai. I’m not alone.”

When asked about his reaction to ‘Sikandar,’ Salim Khan said, “Best. Dekh ke lag raha hai iske baad kya hoga, iske baad kya hoga, ab kya karte hai.”

Directed by AR Murugadoss, ‘Sikandar’ is set to release on March 30, just in time for Eid. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and Sathyaraj, making it one of the most awaited films of the year.
