A little margin of error by bowlers in IPL 2025 spells inevitable carnage and leather hunt for fielders because the batter friendly pitches in India can be a nightmare for all categories of bowlers for minimum errors.
This was evident when Gujarat Titans Sai Sudharshan, Jos Buttler, and Sharukh Khan with late order batter Rahul Thewita who dealt with Rajasthan Royals bowlers in earring by not hitting the right length bowling to both sides of the wickets whilst giving room for the Gujarat batters to free their arms outside the off stump , and sending down deliveries to the batters hitting arch.
Sadly, the recurring bowling errors helped Gujarat Titans in their own backyard at Ahmedabad Stadium, to score a match winning total of 217 runs for 6 wickets with Sai Sudharshan thumping 8 boundaries and 3 sixes for his 82 , Jos Buttler 36 , Sharukh Khan 36 in 25 deliveries and a late burst of 24 runs in 12 balls by Rahul Tewitia , all cashing in, due to the lack of intent by Rajasthan Royals bowling attack.
Jofra Archer bowled well 1 for 30 , Mahesh Theekshana expensive conceeding 53 runs scalping 2 wickets whilst Despande too went for 53 runs with 2 wickets to his credit, Sandeep Sharma 1 for 41, Fazalhaq Farooqui wicketless for 38, were all torn apart much to the delight of the home crowd.
Rajasthan Royals never looked in the hunt while Hetmeyer never looked promising while he lasted scoring 52, Sanju Samson 41, but none of the Rajasthan Royals batters posed any danger to the home team.
It was a one-sided game in favour of Gujarat Titans, who are now placed in the second spot on the points table.
Prasad Krishna 3 for 24 was excellent in his 4-over spell. Rashid Khan got back to form ⁷ for 2 Rajasthan Royals wickets for 38 runs and left arm spin of Ravi Sai picking up 2 wickets in his miserly spell conceeding just 24 runs.
