Royal College and Visakha Vidyalaya dominated the National Age Group Water Polo League Tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union, held at the Air Force Swimming Pool Complex in Ratmalana.
Royal College waded its way to the U19, 15, and13 Boys’ titles while the Visakians held sway among the girls’ schools annexing the U19 and the U13 titles though suffering a setback when Bishops College lasses broke their dominance in the U15 age group to take the title by that upset win. Visakha Vidyalaya had to be content with the runners-up silver medal in the Under-15 division.
The Royalists in particular came out with flying colours pushing D.S.S. Senanayake College and Nalanda College to second and third places respectively.
Bishop’s College did make their presence felt merging runners-up in the U19 and U13 girls’ categories.
