Bloomfield C&AC opening batsman Ron Chandraguptha hogged the limelight on the second day as well of the 3-day Sri Lanka Cricket Major League final against Nondescript Cricket Club scoring a mammoth 237 in his side piling up 508 off 174 overs at stumps at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Chandraguptha reeled off 20 boundaries and a six in his 493-ball knock and was sixth out to pace bowler Lahiru Kumara who had him caught behind by wicket-keeper Niroshan Dickwella.
He added 200 for the second wicket with Asitha Wanninayake who made 96 off 225 balls inclusive of 13 boundaries, and 75 for the fourth wicket with skipper Nipun Karunananayake 37 off 86 with 2 boundaries and a six, and 94 for the fifth wicket with Lahiru Madushanka 55 off 91 containing 6 boundaries and a six.
