Robertson replaced Ian Foster as New Zealand’s head coach after they suffered a narrow defeat to their arch rivals South Africa in the 2023 Rugby World Cup final in France.
Under Robertson‘s guidance, the All Blacks won 10 out of 14 Tests in 2024 as they suffered back-to-back defeats against the Springboks in the Rugby Championship and to Argentina in that tournament, while they also lost narrowly to France in the Autumn Nations Series.
