Richard Gere and His Wife Alejandra Silva Pack on the PDA During Rare Red Carpet Appearance

Richard Gere is having a cozy autumn in New York with his wife.

Indeed, the Pretty Woman alum and Alejandra Silva visited the city for the Oct. 16 screening of his documentary Wisdom of Happiness, proving their romance is still rock solid.

During their outing, the couple—who share sons Alexander, 6, and James, 5—shared a kiss while posing on the red carpet. And true to the special event, they stepped out in style. While Richard, 76, paired a white button down with his blue pinstriped suit, Alejandra, 42, wore a black gown.

This isn’t the first time the duo has publicly supported the Wisdom of Happiness, which sees the Dalai Lama detailing his teachings about peace. In fact, Richard—who executive produced the project—and his wife attended the film’s first premiere at the Zurich Film Festival last October, and the Chicago actor shared how special this release was to them.

“He’s spent almost 90 years on this planet helping people,” he explained at the time. “It’s such an inspiration to be around that and realize that if we work hard, we can achieve that, too.”

And when Richard and Alejandra aren’t bonding with the spiritual leader, they’re focused on their next big move. Indeed, the two relocated to Spain with their kids and the publicist’s 11-year-old son Albert, whom she shares with ex Govind Friedland, late last year.

“My wife is Spanish and she gave me about seven years here, so we’re going to spend some years in Madrid,” Richard—also dad to son Homer, 25, with ex Carey Lowell—explained during his November appearance on The Tonight Show. “Of course, I’ll be back!”

And true to his words, Alejandra teased that they’re already preparing for their transition back to the United States.

“For a few years [we’ll live in Spain], and then come back,” Alejandra told the Daily Mail in April. “But we’re always coming back. We’ll come back here in the summer because we have the kids at camp. We just have to balance our lives there and here.”

But for now, they’re certainly in bliss in Spain. Keep reading to see more stars who left Hollywood for a different country…
