What’s at stake this weekend?published at 12:36 British Summer Time
When it comes to the race for European places, so much!
Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa could all end the weekend either inside or outside of the Premier League’s top five.*
And, if Manchester City win the FA Cup, eighth will be good enough for a spot in the Conference League next season.
Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton and Fulham could all be top eight clubs by Sunday night.
*for Manchester City to drop to sixth they’d have to lose to Southampton by four goals, Chelsea and Newcastle must draw with each other, and Forest have to beat rivals Leicester by eight.
