Pakistan fast bowler Ihsanullah said he will be bowling at “150, 155 or 160 kph in one month” whether his “elbow is straight or not”

His comments come after he recovered from elbow and shoulder injuries that kept him sidelined for a long time.

The 22-year-old became a household name during the 2023 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), known as PSL 8, as he was the second-highest wicket-taker with 22 wickets in 12 matches for the Multan Sultans at an average of 15.77.

During the tournament, he stole the spotlight for his raw pace and entertaining celebration.

After dominating in the PSL, he was called up to the Pakistan team and played four T20Is, where he picked up six wickets at an average of 18.

The Matta native also made his ODI debut in April 2023 but went wicketless in the match.

Soon after, he suffered his injuries and was out of action until making his return in the Champions T20 Cup in December 2024, where he claimed two wickets in four matches for the Dolphins at an average of 62.50.

Sultans owner Ali Tareen recently said Ihsanullah wouldn’t bowl at 155 kph again, but the Pakistan speedster is determined to prove all his critics wrong.

“It doesn’t matter whether my elbow is straight or not, I will start bowling at 150, 155 or 160 kph in one month and show the people and shut their mouth,” he was quoted as saying by Khel Shel on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Despite having returned to domestic cricket, Ihsanullah was not picked for Pakistan’s recent tours of Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

He also wasn’t considered for selection for the recent two-Test series against the West Indies, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
