Mike Tyson has changed his mind regarding retirement.
For the first time in almost two decades, Mike Tyson returned to the ring and competed in a professional boxing match on November 15.
While he didn’t look close to his best, Tyson managed to endure his opponents shots for eight rounds. Jake Paul did to get his hand raised on the night, but it was the 58-year-old that received plaudits from fans.
During his post-fight in-ring interview, Mike Tyson revealed that he may not be done with the sport. The legend suggested that Jake’s older brother Logan Paul could potentially be his next opponent.
In the days following his defeat, Tyson shared a post on social media. The knockout artist revealed that, despite his earlier comments hinting at a return, he will never compete again.
“This is one of those situations when you lose but you still won,” Tyson stated on social media. “I’m grateful.”
“[I have] no regrets to get in the ring one last time.”
While this may come as a disappointment to some, Tyson explained why his time in the sport has come to an end.
Several life-threatening injuries caused him to rethink his everything going forward.
“I almost died in June. [I] had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25 lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.”
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for.”

Many will be happy to see the icon hang up the gloves for good, hoping he can avoid sustaining any more serious health issues.
Breaking the record for the biggest gate outside of Las Vegas with $18.1 million and hitting over 100 million viewers on Netflix isn’t a bad way for Mike Tyson go out.
