Sri Lanka spinner Maheesh Theekshana found himself on top of the Men’s ODI bowling rankings, surpassing Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan.
He earned the top spot following his exploits against Australia, which included an excellent four-wicket haul in the opening match of that series in Colombo.
The Sri Lankan spinner has 680 rating points, followed by Rashid at second, Namibia’s Bernard Scholtz at third, India’s Kuldeep Yadav at fourth and Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi at fifth.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka also cracked the top 10 rankings for batsmen by moving up eight spots to eighth.
