SLC Greens Skipper Kamindu Mendis produced a timely 34 ball half century off 39 balls hitting 5 boundaries to dig out his side from a wobbly 57 for 5 wickets to a match winning 158 for 6 wickets figuring in a 82 run sixth wicket bonding with Chamika Karunaratne an unbeaten 41 off 30 with 2 sixes antrd equal number of boundaries to bundling out SLC Blues for 86 in 15 overs for a 72 run win in the fourth match of the Sri Lankat Cricket T20 League at the SSC Grounds on Monday.
The match winner with the ball was 4 wicket Dushan Hemantha while Chamika Karunaratne bagged 2 wickets to cap a fine all-round performance.
It was the Greens second consecutive win having beaten SLC Greys by 24 runs a day ago.
The Blues in their turn lost Kusal Janith Perera retiring hurt for 6 with the score on 36 with only three batsmen reaching double figures in Dhananjaya de Silva striking 18 off 20 with 2 yboundaries.
