Earlier, Delano Potgieter, Dian Forrester and Bjorn Fortuin slammed half-centuries to lift South Africa A to 285/9 against India A in their 1st unofficial ODI in Rajkot. Potgieter (90) and Forrester (77) added 113 runs for the sixth wicket after the visitors were reeling at 5/53, following a top-order collapse. Potgieter then added 93 with Fortuin (59) to take the Proteas to a competitive total. For India A, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana bagged two wickets each. Earlier, South Africa A captain Marques Ackerman won the toss and opted to bat against India A in the first Unofficial ODI of the three-match series on Thursday in Rajkot.
