Welcome to the Highlights of match 2 of the Sri Lanka Women’s Tri-Nation Series 2025, being played between India women and South Africa women at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday, 29 April 2025. India clinched a hard-fought victory in a thrilling ODI contest against South Africa, prevailing by 15 runs after a spirited fightback with the ball. South Africa started brightly with a commanding 140-run opening stand between Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits, the latter scoring a fluent 108 before retiring hurt. Her departure proved pivotal as India tightened the screws. Despite Annerie Dercksen’s aggressive strokeplay, South Africa lost momentum as Sneh Rana produced a game-changing spell, dismissing Tryon and then snaring three wickets—including Dercksen and the returning Brits—in one over. With 25 needed from 12 balls and just two wickets left, India held firm to seal the win. Earlier, India won the first match against the hosts by nine wickets.
