Gihan de Silva is tipped to succeed Senesh Dissanayake as chairman of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC).
Dissanayake was appointed the SLRC chief by minister Vijitha Herath on 25 September.
In a Facebook post, Dissanayake said he accepted the role for three months only.
It is now time for me to step aside, he said, thanking the staff and stakeholders for their cooperation during his short stint.
Dissanayake also wished his successor all success.
