Legendary Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga, who made waves with his slinger side arm toes crushing yorkers, yesterday came back into the limelight with the launch of his much-anticipated book, Killer : The Magic of Twenty One, in Colombo.

Malinga, who skyrocketed to fame by a strong of hat-tricks while becoming the one and only bowler to claim four wickets in four balls in a world cup against South Africa, introduced his book to a well attended gathering including those from the cricketing fraternity, that the book outlines 21 key strategies for taking wickets, offering insights into the art of bowling.

Speaking at the event, Malinga said, “This book is not just for bowlers; it’s for batters too. It aims to provide valuable coaching insights for players and coaches alike, helping them understand and master the nuances of the game.”

The launch was attended by several cricketing greats, including Sanath Jayasuriya, Marvan Atapattu, Mahela Jayawardene, and Chaminda Vaas.

Malinga said that with this book, he intended to inspire and guide the next generation of cricketers.
