Evander Holyfield Sums Up Terence Crawford’s Chances Of Beating Canelo In Just 3 Words

Heavyweight legend Evander Holyfield has weighed in on the upcoming mega-fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.

The pound-for-pound stars are set to lock horns in a huge showdown later this year, after it was confirmed that the Mexican icon would defend his unified super middleweight titles against the 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska.

‘Bud’ Crawford is bidding to become a five-weight world champion against Canelo, although he is faced with what is undoubtedly the toughest test of his glittering career which began back in 2008.

The fight itself came extremely close to falling through at the last minute when it was reported that Canelo was in negotiations to face Jake Paul, but the 34-year-old from Guadalajara made a u-turn on this decision to sign a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season instead.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, two-time undisputed champion Holyfield didn’t hesitate to give his backing to the Mexican superstar, as he admits it ‘will be hard’ for Bud to find a way to win.

Before he can begin his preparations to face the American star, Canelo must first turn his attention to his bout against IBF super middleweight champion William Scull who he faces in Riyadh on May 3, the first of his 4-fight contract with Riyadh Season.

Victory over Scull would see Canelo become a two-time undisputed champion at 168lbs, raising the stakes for his battle with ‘Bud’ Crawford even higher than they had been originally.
