BREAKS BABAR AZAM’S RECORD

Hasan Nawaz atted to fastest T20 century by a Pakistani beating Babar Azam's record in becoming his country's new revelation

Young Hasan Nawaz new revelation hero to fastest T20 ton by a Pakistani in dousing of New Zealand by 9 wkts.

Young Pakistan batter Hasan Nawaz etched his name into the history books on Friday, becoming the fastest Pakistani to score ar century in T20 Internationals. The 22-year-old right-hander achieved the remarkable milestone in just 44 balls during the third T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland.

I did make mention in our earlier  script  that Quote  Pakistan isn’t   a pushover  team but has immense talent to spoil the happiness of even the big boys like India, Australia, and South Africa. That’s exactly what Pakistan did with young Hasan Nawaz coming to the party as a new revelation by his breathtaking match winning innings against New Zealand. Frankly, I tagged the above teams as big wigs because that is what they are.

Today at the combox, the unbiased Kiwi commentators stated, “Where was this Pakistan team in the last two showings at Christchurch and Duniden?

That was the dominance of  this new revamped team from Pakistan who made the highest power play score of 75 for 1 , thus recording the highest opening pair partnership in 54 matches getting to the halfway stage of the 205 run target by losing only 1 wicket for 124 runs building an unbroken partnership of 133 runs between man of the match Hassan Hasan Nawaz a new revelation fastest T20 ton off 44 balls as Pakistan stunned New Zealand.

The change in the weather made it better for Pakistan.

Eden Park at Auckland is relatively a small venue in comparison to other international stadiums in New Zealand.  More often than not, dew does play a role during summer, and a score of 200 is par stated the pundits.

Put into bat, New Zealand frankly made a mockery of losing regular wickets despite Glenn Philips 94 in 44 balls , in which he thumped 4 sixes and 11 boundaries , whilst the rest of the batters except Skipper Michael Bracewell who made 31 did not support the cause by getting to a score of atleast  230 taking into account the excellent batting conditions.

Tim Seifert made 19 as the opener, but the Kiwi batters reached a boiling point by losing regular wickets, and they languished on 164 for 7 wickets by the 15th over.

Life boat was the rescue spirit of Bracewell and Ish Sodhi, who stiched a partnership of 29 runs for the 8th wicket that helped the black caps to reach a par score of 205 to be bowled out in 19.5 overs. A poor batting performance given the flat pitch conditions period.Shaheen Afridi 2 for 36 , Abrar Ahmed 2 for 43 , with Harris Rauf being most impressive 3 for 29 , whilst the golden arm of Abbas Afridi helped him to scalp 2 Kiwi batters for 24 runs.

205 is a par score that was the message given by Salman Aghar to his batting unit. Small venue we can thump them. Let’s cross the power play

border with a healthy run rate.

This is the prescription, and the openers Mod Harris and Hassan Nawaz showed all of us what they are capable of.

They painted a poor picture in the last two outings, but at Auckland, it was Pablo Picasso for sure.

The pair scored runs at will whilst the Kiwi seam cordon of Khyle Jamison got thumped for 54 runs and went wicketless, Ben Sears 51 wicket less but Jacob Duffy took the only Pakistan scalp for 37.

New Zealand bowlers were taken to the cleaners, ish Sodhi not only let the side down with an easy opportunity he put down off the bat of Salman Aghar when he was on 9 but also leaked 28 runs in his 2 over spell and was given a typical subcontinent treatment against spin on a flat track.

The dropped catch helped Salman Aghar to be unbeaten on 51, build an unbroken partnership of 133 with Hassan Nawaz, and remind the Black caps that Pakistan is here to win and not just compete.
