Bulawayo is buzzing with excitement as Zimbabwe battles Afghanistan in a thrilling second Test. The star of the show so far has been Blessing Muzaraban, who bagged a stunning six-wicket haul in Afghanistan’s second innings on Day 4 to keep Zimbabwe in the game.
Blessing Muzarabani brought his A-game to the table when his team needed it the most. With Afghanistan looking to post a huge target, the tall pacer hit the deck hard, extracting bounce and movement from the Bulawayo pitch.
The lanky speedster kicked off his spell by sending openers Abdul Malik and Riaz Hassan packing early, setting the tone for a fiery spell. Muzarabani then returned to dismantle the middle and lower order, claiming crucial wickets, including Rahmat Shah, who was playing a marathon knock. His terrific line and length troubled the Afghan batters, and he wrapped up the innings with sensational figures of 6/95 in 29 overs.
This was a statement performance by Muzarabani, who bagged his maiden Test fifer and showed why he’s considered Zimbabwe’s go-to bowler, especially in crunch situations.
