Ghazanfar took six wickets and conceded just 26 overs in 6.3 overs. These are the second-best bowling figures by an Afghanistan bowler in a fifty-over format behind Rashid Khan’s 7-18 in the West Indies in 2018.

Ghazanfar has taken 10 wickets in six ODIs. The 18-year-old replaced the injured Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) title-winning squad in IPL 2024. However, he didn’t get a game. Ghazanfar became just the third player in history to take six wickets in an ODI before turning 19.
