The first T 20 game against New Zealand tomorrow will be a definite test for the Sri Lankans who will have to address their skill level against New Zealand playing in Kiwis’ backyard. On paper, New Zealand looks a better prospect in their own backyard, but Sri Lankan outfit led by Charith Asalanka are no pushover. The black caps led by Mitchell Santner with the likes of Mark Chapman , Michael Bracewell, and Rachin Ravindra are strong outfit, especially in their own backyard .We all know that T 20 is an unpredictable format , Wanindu Hasaranga back in the side adds more strength to their strong batting line up. Kamindu Mendis must come good whilst Asalanka has to control the middle order batters if Sri Lanka has to succeed in their efforts. Big question: Will the Sri Lankan spin cordon led by Hasaranga and Mahesh Theekshana with Matheesha Pathirana with his slinging action upset the strong black caps batters is a key factor. In winding up, it all depends on how the visitors will cope with the pitch that will obviously have more seam than spin. The black caps in home conditions are a force to recon with.
