Former India player blames Rohit Sharma for Travis Head’s hundred in third Test against India

Travis Head scored a hundred in the ongoing third Test against India at the Gabba. He was unbeaten on 113 runs off 118 balls, laced with 13 fours as Australia reached 234/3 at the end of second session. Former India player Harbhajan Singh blamed captain Rohit Sharma for Head’s second century of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
The left-handed batter has already crossed the 300-run mark in just four innings and this could be a bumper series for one of the most attacking batters in the world.
India made a big mistake of not deploying Jasprit Bumrah against Travis. When he came to the crease, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja had a go at him but it allowed the batter to break free.
“When a player like Travis Head is batting, you need your best bowler to bowl to him and not others. India didn’t bowl well against him for the third consecutive time in the series and paid a heavy price. He is looking dangerous and his presence in the middle is not good for the Indian team,” Harbhajan Singh said on Star Sports.

In the second innings of the series opener, Head amassed 89 runs. He was in complete control in the second Test at the Adelaide Oval. Travis was named the Player of the Match for scoring 140 runs.
