Sri Lanka thrash Malaysia in the Women’s U19 Asia Cup campaign opener

Having won the toss, Sri Lanka opted to bat first but a batting collapse saw them restricted to 44 runs for 4 wickets at the end of first 10 overs.

However, Sri Lanka skipper Manudi Nanayakkara and No. 3 batter Limansa Thilakaratne resurrected the innings with an unbeaten 109-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Nanayakkara top scored with a knock of 74 runs off 40 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes while Thilakaratne contributed with 41 runs off 46 balls with 4 fours.
