In a tantalizing revelation, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has expressed his desire to share the screen with fellow industry giants Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Speaking at the ongoing Red Sea Film Festival, Aamir shared a conversation he had with the two actors almost six months ago about doing a film together and said that they are waiting for the “right script”.
Recalling the discussion, Aamir said, “Well, about six months back or so, Shah Rukh, Salman and I were together and we did speak about this. In fact, I was the person who brought this up. I told Shah Rukh and Salman that it would be really sad if the three of us don’t do a film together.” The prospect of witnessing the three Bollywood heavyweights come together on the big screen has long been a topic of discussion among fans. According to Aamir, both Shah Rukh and Salman were receptive to the idea.
Aamir noted, “I think Salman and Shah Rukh were equally in agreement and they were like, ‘We must do a film together, the three of us…’ So hopefully it will happen soon.” While the excitement is palpable, Aamir tempered expectations by emphasising the need for the right script to bring this ambitious project to fruition. “But it will need the right kind of story, so, we will have to wait for the right script but we all three are looking forward to it,” he said.
This is not the first time Aamir has spoken about the highly anticipated collaboration with SRK and Salman. In an earlier episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Aamir responded to a question from an audience member expressing the desire to witness the three stars together in a film. He said, “Aapki aur meri thinking bilkul same hai (Our thinking matches). I recently met Shah Rukh and Salman and told them, ‘Hum teeno ek hi industry mein itne saalon se hain aur yeh audience ke liye kaafi galat hojayega ki career ke is dauran agar hum saath mein ek film na kaaren. Ek film toh banti hai (We have been working in the same industry for so many years and at this juncture of our career, if we didn’t do a film together, it would be unfair to the audience. We must do at least one film together).”
