IPL Players Auction 2025 Highlights: Bihar’s 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi bagged a Rs 1.10 crore contract with Rajasthan Royals while Delhi’s Priyansh Arya struck a handsome deal with Punjab Kings in two impressive deals for uncapped Indian player. Earlier, Indian pacers generated significant interest early on Day 2, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar going to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 10.75 crore, Delhi Capitals playing the Right-to-Match option at Rs 8 crore, and Mumbai Indians shelling out as much as Rs 9.25 crore for Deepak Chahar on Day 2 of IPL Mega Auction in Jeddah on Monday.
Rishabh Pant became the costliest buy ever in an IPL auction after Lucknow Super Giants forked out a whopping Rs 27 crore to get him even after Delhi Capitals exercised their Right to Match option.Shreyas Iyer, meanwhile, went to Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore, who also got Arshdeep Singh with a RTM at Rs 18 crore. Moments before Pant emerged as the most expensive player, Iyer surpassed the previous record held by Australian pacer Mitchell Starc, who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore in the last auction. Later on day 1, came the big surprise. Venkatesh Iyer was the surprise show-stopper as RCB and KKR went big, before the defending champions got their allrounder back for Rs 23.75 crores.
