Endrick: “I work every day to help the team”

Real Madrid striker Endrick talked to the press right after winning the Man of the Match award following the team’s comeback win against Roma in the Champions League. Endrick came off the bench and along Güler and Carlos Espí allowed Real Madrid to turn things around.

“I’m still feeling the emotion of the match. I was on the bench talking to God. When I looked to the side, Nuno was calling me. I went on and kept talking to God because I thought I wasn’t going to come in so early. I entered the game and was able to do what I love most, which is playing football. This is where I want to be, on the pitch playing and helping my team. I feel I can help everyone, not just the team but also the coach. And the most important thing is for Madrid to win. Madrid has to win, and that’s what I will do my entire life at Madrid. And when I can’t do that, I’ll be the first to leave. Being at Madrid is tough; you have to fight every day, and I’ll do that my entire career,” he said.

Endrick explained how he felt when he came off the bench.
