Hayley Matthews (West Indies)
Hayley Matthews showcased outstanding form in the three ODIs she played in July, with the all-rounder producing a series of match-winning performances. She scored two centuries, including a career-best unbeaten 159 in the first ODI against Ireland.
Matthews made an impact with both bat and ball in the opening game, claiming 3/52 in the first innings before smashing 159* in the chase, sharing a record-breaking partnership with Realeanna Grimmond.
In the second ODI, she continued her fine run by bringing up back-to-back centuries, scoring 100 while also contributing with the ball through another important spell of 2/34.
Although she managed just six runs in the third ODI, Matthews once again proved her value as a complete all-rounder, taking 2/37 with the ball. Across the three matches, she finished with 265 runs at an impressive average of 132.50 and a strike rate of 117.25, while also taking seven wickets at an average of 17.57.
Harshitha Samarawickrama (Sri Lanka)
Harshitha Samarawickrama was in outstanding form during Sri Lanka’s ODI series against Pakistan, scoring 173 runs at an average of 173 and a strike rate of 77.23. Her consistent performances played a crucial role in Sri Lanka’s 2-1 series victory.
The left-hander had a quiet start to the series, managing just two runs in the opening ODI. However, she bounced back in spectacular fashion in the second match, smashing a brilliant 100 off 119 balls and shared a 203-run partnership with Vishmi Gunaratne in a successful chase for Sri Lanka.
Samarawickrama carried that momentum into the series decider, remaining unbeaten on 71 to guide Sri Lanka through a successful chase of 187 and seal the ODI series. Her match-winning contributions throughout the series earned her the Player of the Series award.
Nat Sciver-Brunt (England)
Nat Sciver-Brunt played a pivotal role in England’s run to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Final, delivering key performances when her team needed them most. In the semi-final against South Africa, England found themselves in trouble at 23/3, but Sciver-Brunt produced a Player of the Match performance, scoring a crucial 75 to steady the innings. She shared an important partnership with Heather Knight that saw England post a formidable total, which helped them secure a place in the final.
Although England fell short in the title-clash against Australia, Sciver-Brunt once again stepped up under pressure, scoring a valuable 58 off 53 balls to help her side set a competitive target. In total she scored 133 runs at a strike rate of 133.
