Islamabad beat Karachi to consolidate PSL play-off spot

Islamabad United consolidated their place in the Pakistan Super League play-offs with a comfortable eight-wicket win over Karachi Kings.

Chasing 151, Devon Conway and Sameer Minhas put on 93 for the first wicket, before the latter was dismissed for 58 off 36 balls.

Mohammad Faiq fell shortly after but Conway (53* off 36) and captain Shadab Khan (31* off 16) put on an unbroken 43 to get Islamabad over the line with 24 balls to spare.

Earlier, Karachi posted 150-6 with Reeza Hendricks top-scoring with an unbeaten 51, while Jason Roy, who was signed as a replacement on Wednesday, made 39 off 27 balls.

The win leaves Islamabad second, while Kings sit fifth after their third defeat in six games.
