Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are making the greatest show of their romance.
Nearly nine months after confirming their romance while walking down the streets of L.A. hand-in-hand, the couple stepped out together at the Fetch Pet Gala in New York Oct. 20.
The couple went classic for the evening at The Carlyle hotel, with Hugh sporting a simple black suit and Sutton donning a black gown with a velvet bodice and silver sandal heels. Sitting at their table inside the gala, they even squeezed together for a quick photo op.
Although longtime friends, the Deadpool & Wolverine star and Younger alum officially confirmed they had taken their relationship to the next level, when they were photographed partaking in some subtle PDA during a walk after a Jan. 6 dinner in Santa Monica.
A week later, the couple packed it on even more, locking lips as they waited for their order at an In-N-Out.
But before serving up that PDA, the pair separately confirmed some major changes in their personal lives. In 2023, The Greatest Showman alum and Deborra-Lee Furness—who share kids Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20—announced they had split after 27 years of marriage.
“Our journey now is shifting,” the former couple—who went on to finalize their divorce this past June—wrote in a statement at the time, “and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
Sutton and her ex Ted Griffin also ended their 10-year union last October. The former couple, who share 8-year-old daughter Emily, continues to work through litigious proceedings.
Despite these difficult chapters, Hugh and Sutton have no doubt gotten by with a little help from each other. After all, Sutton emphasized that the duo—who moved in similar Broadway circles for years—became fast friends while working on The Music Man in 2022.
“He has an impeccable reputation of being the hardest working man, incredibly kind, and generous—and all of that is true,” Sutton gushed of Hugh to Vogue in 2022. “He’s now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise, because you usually go into these things thinking, ‘Well, I hope we get along.’”
