Oshada Fernando and all-rounder Ramesh Mendis are the significant inclusions in the 16-member Sri Lanka squad for the two test matches against New Zealand.
The first test starting tomorrow 18th at the Galle International Cricket Stadium sees a strong outfit named.
Oshada Fernando, who has been in terrific firm for the Sri Lanka A Team versus South Africa,
Karunaratne, who had been Sri Lanka’s most consistent test run getter in recent years, managed just a half century versus England in the 3-match series.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Mendis is tipped to make the final eleven tomorrow.
Both Tests will take place in Galle. After the first Test concludes, the second match will begin on September 26.
