Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic has chosen Mykonos as his vacation destination, taking time off to unwind after a demanding tennis season.
Djokovic was seen enjoying the sun and sea at a popular beach club on Sunday. Fans who recognized the 24-time Grand Slam champion approached him for a quick chat and photos, which he graciously agreed to.
Djokovic meets with Greek Prime Minister over dinner
This is not Djokovic’s first visit to Greece in recent months. On June 12, he was spotted in Athens along with his wife Jelena and their children. The trip was tied to activities related to the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which focuses on early childhood development and education, particularly in underserved communities.
During that June visit to the Greek capital, Djokovic also met with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The two shared a meal at a well-known restaurant in the upscale neighborhood of Kolonaki, underscoring the strong cultural and philanthropic ties between Djokovic and Greece.
Djokovic, renowned not only for his historic achievements on the tennis court but also for his dedication to social causes, has long championed education through his foundation. His presence in Greece—both on Mykonos for leisure and in Athens for charitable work—reflects his multifaceted role as an athlete, humanitarian, and global ambassador.
Novak Djokovic: Tennis legend and devoted philanthropist
Novak Djokovic is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of tennis. His career boasts a remarkable list of accomplishments, highlighted by a record-breaking 24 Grand Slam men’s singles titles, showcasing his dominance on every surface. With the potential to claim a 25th title before retiring, his legacy continues to grow.
Djokovic also holds the record for the most weeks ranked world No. 1—an astounding 428 weeks—and has finished the season as the top-ranked player a record eight times. He remains the only male player to have completed the “Career Golden Masters,” having won all nine ATP Masters 1000 events—an achievement he has incredibly repeated twice.
His career tally includes 100 singles titles, including seven ATP Finals victories. A major highlight came in 2024 when he secured the Olympic gold medal in singles at the Paris Olympic Games, achieving the coveted “Golden Slam” by securing all four majors and Olympic gold over the course of his career.
Off the court, Djokovic is equally impactful. In 2007, he launched the Novak Djokovic Foundation, dedicated to supporting early childhood development and education for children in underserved communities. The foundation has helped establish over 50 schools across Serbia and has positively impacted more than 20,800 children and 1,000 families, underscoring Djokovic’s deep commitment to social causes.
