Her final-round opponent, Kalinskaya, alternatively has won all eight sets she’s played—notably cooling off Emma Raducanu in her semifinal win. Fernandez prevailed, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, to claim their only previous meeting more four years ago in Guadalajara.
