Novak Djokovic picks the big ATP tournament which he thinks Carlos Alcaraz is going to win this year

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are two of the players that will be contending for the biggest ATP titles this year.

Djokovic and Alcaraz have practised together at the Monte Carlo Masters this week, as they look to get their clay court season off to a positive start.

While the Serbian has won everything there is to win in the sport, Alcaraz is still missing some big titles on the ATP Tour.

However, Djokovic has predicted Alcaraz to win a title that he has already lifted before.

Novak Djokovic predicts Carlos Alcaraz to win the Madrid Open

Alcaraz won the Rotterdam Open back in February, in what is his only trophy lift of the 2025 season so far.

Looking ahead to tournaments taking place throughout the clay court season, Djokovic and Alcaraz were asked by Sky Sports to pick their Madrid Open champion alongside Jack Draper.

Draper, who could challenge on clay himself, went for world number two Alexander Zverev to win the Madrid title.

While Alcaraz was picked to lift the Madrid Open title by both himself and rival Djokovic.

“I will take Alcaraz somewhere,” said Djokovic. “I will take Alcaraz in Madrid.”
