During the meeting, President Disanayake expressed his deep appreciation for the IMF’s continued support as Sri Lanka continues to recover from the devastating economic crisis of 2022.
He highlighted the country’s remarkable progress in implementing essential economic reforms, restoring macroeconomic stability, and improving governance frameworks.
Notably, the President also acknowledged the IMF’s invaluable assistance throughout Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring process, which has been vital in helping the country stabilize its finances.
