Girish Kumar made his debut in 2013 with the rom-com Ramaiya Vastavaiya alongside Shruti Haasan and Sonu Sood. Directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by his father, the film was expected to be a major hit. Unfortunately, it was a box-office disaster and it failed to resonate with audiences.
