Ramesh Mendis has been recalled to Sri Lanka’s Test squad for the second match against Australia.
The development comes after pacer Vishwa Fernando and batter Lahiru Udara were released from the initial 18-member team.
Mahinda Halangoda, the Sri Lanka team manager, confirmed the changes, adding that Mendis had joined the squad on Monday.
Mendis will bring the required depth in the spin department after SL lost the series opener.
