In what promises to be one of India’s most anticipated weddings of 2025, Jeet Adani, the youngest son of industrialist Gautam Adani, is set to tie the knot with Diva Jaimin Shah, daughter of prominent diamond merchant Jaimin Shah.
Gautam, who is visiting Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela, confirmed to ANI, “Dekho aisa hai… Jeet ki shaadi 7 February ko hai… actually humari karyashaili jo hai woh ek common person ki tarah hai aur Jeet ki shaadi… yahan Jeet bhi aaya tha toh woh Maa Ganga ka aashirwad lene hi aaya tha… aur Jeet ki shaadi bahut simple aur traditional tarah se hone wali hai (Look, here’s the thing… Jeet’s wedding is on February 7… actually, our way of doing things is quite simple, like a common person, and Jeet’s wedding… when Jeet came here, he came to seek the blessings of Maa Ganga… and Jeet’s wedding is going to be very simple and traditional).”
The union brings together two influential business families, merging the infrastructural empire of the Adanis with the diamond legacy of the Shahs.
A private romance steps into the spotlight
The couple, who formalised their relationship with an intimate engagement ceremony in Ahmedabad on March 12, 2023, has maintained a notably low profile despite their prominent family backgrounds. Their engagement celebration was a private affair, with only a single photograph making its way to social media, showing the couple in traditional attire.
Adding to the buzz are reports of potential international entertainment, with News18 indicating ongoing discussions with global pop icon Taylor Swift for a performance at one of the pre-wedding events.
The power couple: Education, enterprise, and excellence
Jeet Adani, a University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Sciences graduate, has been carving his own path in the business world since joining the Adani Group in 2019. As Vice President of Group Finance, he has taken charge of strategic initiatives, including Adani Airports and Adani Digital Labs, where he’s spearheading the development of a super app to integrate the group’s diverse consumer services.
His bride-to-be, Diva Shah, represents the next generation of India’s diamond industry aristocracy. Her family’s firm, C Dinesh & Co. Private Limited, established in 1976, is a testament to excellence in diamond manufacturing and trading, with operations spanning Mumbai and Surat. The company, under the leadership of her father, Jaimin Shah, and other directors, has built a formidable reputation in the global diamond trade.
A union of business dynasties
The wedding represents more than a personal milestone; it symbolises the union of two of India’s most influential business families. The Adani Group, under Gautam Adani’s leadership, has transformed into a global infrastructure conglomerate, while the Shah family has helped establish India’s prominence in the international diamond trade.
This marriage follows the family tradition of powerful alliances, reminiscent of Gautam Adani’s elder son Karan’s marriage to Paridhi Shroff, daughter of legal luminary Cyril Shroff. Karan currently serves as the CEO of Adani Ports & SEZ Limited and director of Adani Airport Holdings Limited.
