Multiple stars have confirmed they lost their houses in the Palisades fire in California.
In January 2025, multiple wildfires wreaked havoc on Southern California. It all started with the Palisades fire, which erupted in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood on January 7. Shortly thereafter, thousands of acres burned, including several celebrity homes and properties.
A handful of celebrities confirmed that they had lost their houses in the wildfires, including Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Diane Warren and James Woods. Other stars’ homes were also reportedly destroyed, including Anna Faris, but she hasn’t publicly commented on the reports.
Leighton Meester & Adam Brody
While neither of them as spoke out about their house, TMZ reported that Leighton and Adam’s home burned down.
Diane Warren
Diane revealed she lost her house in an Instagram post, sharing an image of the seaside.
“This is the last pic I took of Leah’s rock from my beach house,” Diane wrote in her caption. “I’ve had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last nite. There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.”
Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt
Spencer shared a TikTok video of what appeared to be their home engulfed in flames. He followed up in an Instagram post, sharing a charred image of his and Heidi’s children’s room, writing, “The one positive sign i saw as our house burned down was ours sons bed burned in the shape of a heart. A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family.”
Anna Faris
According to TMZ, Anna lost her home in the fire. She has not publicly commented on the report.
James Woods
James became emotional during a CNN interview as he revealed that his home was gone.
“One day you’re swimming in the pool, and the next day it’s all gone,” he said
Paris Hilton
Paris revealed she and he family watched their Malibu home burn down on live TV.
“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Paris wrote on Instagram. “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London. While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”
Mandy Moore
Mandy revealed she lost her Altadena, California, home in an emotional Instagram post, and pointed out the multiple schools and businesses that burned as well.
Pete Lee
During an emotional appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, comedian Pete revealed that he lost his Palisades home. Jimmy showed before and after photos of Pete’s house, which was near the water. The image revealed a charred home burned to the ground.
Milo Ventimiglia
Milo returned to see his home burned to the ground during a CBS Evening News special. The This Is Us star was visibly stunned at the destruction but noted he and his family were safe.
Anthony Hopkins
Anthony’s Pacific Palisades home reportedly burned down. He did not publicly comment on the loss.
